I've started up a WordPress blog at my own site, killmoms.com. I figure I can take the training wheels off, so to speak. If you still use LJ to read my (very occasional) posts and want to keep seeing them on your friends page, just friend up with the syndication account killmoms. You can add that to your friends list, and every post I make to killmoms.com will show up here automagically. Uh... I successfully moved to L.A. That's the biggest one, I guess. Arrived in town last Monday, and had a rough week looking for places, lots of ups and downs. Stayed at a couple of "friends of friends'" places until I finally found a room for myself, just 3.4 miles from work. Nice room, nice lady I'm renting it from. New address is up on Facebook if you need it. Don't have Internet yet, should be up by the end of the week or so (hopefully, still need to find out). All told, that'll be two full weeks basically cut off from AIM and my IRC networks except for a couple of quick visits in transit. ...I'm eager to get connected again. Got my PowerBook back from Apple, with a pretty new backlight and screen hinge, silky smooth. Craving a new 80GB iPod like it's my job, but I must resist until next spring, when I might actually have the money for it. Current things needed that require money: clothes and shoes (badly, BADLY needed), desk, transportation (hopefully a used Vespa). After that we'll see how the moneys look for technology. I'm thinking it might take longer than "next spring." Just a hunch. The iTV (code-name) looks like it'll be sweet. Work is going well. I'm actually being moved to graveyard a week earlier than I thought, which means starting Sunday night I'll be going in to work at 11 PM and coming home at 7 AM the next morning, Sunday through Thursday. Meaning, I'll be going to sleep around 9 AM and waking around 5 PM, Pacific time.
